BURCU ERMEYDAN

Burcu Ermeydan is an assistant professor at the Institute of Middle East and Islamic Countries at Marmara University. She holds a PhD (2022) in International Relations from Kadir Has University, where she also worked as a research assistant. Burcu’s research centres on the political economy dynamics of regionalism, with a specific focus on the processes of regional cooperation in East Asia and the role of China in these processes. She has published her research in edited volumes. Burcu is currently undertaking a bibliometric analysis of the Chinese studies produced in Turkey, which has its roots in her involvement in the New Silk Road Young Scholars Workshop held in November 2020.
